ECO-ENEMIES
Due to pollution, our ocean’s health is rapidly deteriorating. Therefore, I designed an awareness campaign in response to this called Eco-Enemies. My approach was to create a set of villainous characters who each represent a type of ocean pollution. This campaign is aimed at children and young teens therefore it had to be visually exciting.
My goal was to create distinct characters that children could easily associate with different types of ocean pollution, aiding their understanding and memory. Therefore, I designed five characters, each representing a type of ocean pollution—Plastic, Noise, Light, Industrial, and Nutrient —using minimal shapes and a limited colour palette to ensure they are memorable and easy for children to draw.
An online presence is crucial for campaigns today as it allows for broader reach. Therefore, I designed posts featuring all the characters for online platforms.
Posters are an effective medium to showcase the campaign to the public eye. Therefore, I designed a set of five posters, each featuring one of the characters. The intention is to attract and inform people about the campaign.
This project showcases an engaging booklet designed to inform and inspire action. The artwork is created through a mixed-media approach, blending 2D illustrations with 3D environments and incorporating a variety of materials, textures, and typographic techniques.
